Like Mother Like Daughter
I grew up going to art fairs with my mom, "helping" her sell her crafts around the Twin Cities (I'm sure I was far more trouble than help!). I loved every second of it. One of my favorite shows to help out with was the Cooper Art and Craft Fair, which was a fundraiser for scholarships for our school district. I got to talk to so many nice people, count change, and package up magnets and necklaces that had been personalized for every customer by my mom. Every year I got to pick out one thing from the fair to buy as my reward for helping. At Cooper, it was always a new outfit for my dolls. They were magical. I never cared about fashion for myself, but I was obsessed with fashion for my dolls :)
This year I had the privilege to sell at the Cooper Art Fair, and my mom was there helping every minute. I'm a sentimental emotional type anyway, but the symbolism in that one had me extra worked up :)
